Job summary

Sunovaa Tech in Bengaluru is seeking a C++ Test Engineer with extensive experience in C++ software testing and V&V, especially for aerospace/avionics environments. You will develop test cases and scripts, and verify software across the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include analyzing requirements and designs to derive test scenarios, logging defects, and ensuring DO-178B/C compliance with MC/DC and code coverage concepts. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in C++ software testing and verification.
• Experience with DO-178B/DO-178C in aerospace/avionics.
• Proficient in unit/integration/functional/regression testing.
• Ability to derive test scenarios from requirements and design docs.
• Familiarity with traceability and verification evidence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test cases, test procedures and scripts.
• Analyze requirements, design documents and source code to derive test scenarios.
• Identify, log, track and close defects.
• Ensure compliance with DO-178B/C and MC/DC / code coverage concepts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using JIRA, DOORS, Git etc.

C++ Test Engineer:

Job Description

• 24 years of experience in C++ software testing / verification & validation (V&V).
• Strong understanding of C/C++ programming and embedded software testing.
• Hands-on experience in DO-178B/DO-178C standards, preferably in an aerospace/avionics environment.
• Experience in Software Verification & Validation (V&V) activities across the software development lifecycle.
• Good knowledge of unit testing, integration testing, functional testing and regression testing.
• Experience in developing and executing test cases, test procedures and test scripts.
• Ability to analyze requirements, design documents and source code and derive appropriate test scenarios.
• Experience with defect identification, logging, tracking and closure.
• Knowledge of requirements traceability and verification evidence.
• Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, JIRA, Git, VectorCAST, LDRA or similar testing/verification tools is preferred.
• Understanding of MC/DC, structural coverage and code coverage concepts is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
