Job summary

Roots Group of Companies is seeking a technically skilled Territory Service Executive / Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and service commercial cleaning machines at customer sites. You will handle breakdowns, perform troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and battery systems, and provide basic operator training.

The role requires extensive travel within the territory, timely service delivery, and maintaining accurate service records.

Job description

We are looking for a technically skilled and customer - focusedTerritory Service Executive / Field Service Engineer to provide installation, preventive maintenance, breakdown support, troubleshooting, and technical service for commercial cleaning machines.

The role involves extensive field visits to customer sites, ensuring machines operate reliably and customers receive timely technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, inspect, and service commercial cleaning machines at customer locations.
• Attend breakdown and service calls within the assigned territory.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and battery-related problems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and periodic servicing as per company guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and repair machines such as:
  • Scrubber - dryers
  • Single-disc machines
  • Vacuum cleaners
  • Sweeping machines
  • High-pressure cleaning machines
  • Carpet and upholstery cleaning equipment
  • Other commercial cleaning equipment
• Replace faulty components, spare parts, motors, pumps, batteries, controllers, switches, hoses, and other machine parts as required.
• Conduct machine demonstrations and provide basic operator training to customers.
• Maintain accurate service reports, job cards, installation reports, and spare-parts records.
• Follow up on pending service requirements and ensure timely closure of complaints.
• Identify recurring technical issues and report them to the Service Manager.
• Coordinate with the Sales, Spare Parts, and Customer Support teams for effective service delivery.
• Maintain good customer relationships and identify potential service/spare-parts requirements.
• Ensure service tools, testing equipment, and company assets are properly maintained.
• Follow all company safety procedures while working at customer sites.
• Travel extensively within the assigned territory and occasionally outside the territory as required.

Requirements

We urgently require a new Service Engineer for our branch. We currently have around 50 Nos. of TMS-5000, TMV-5000, and RSM-5000 machines installed in our territory. These are high-end machines that require timely service support and regular maintenance.

Considering the increasing machine population and service workload, additional manpower is essential to provide prompt customer support and maintain service quality.

We request you to kindly expedite the recruitment of a new Service Engineer on an urgent basis. Once the engineer joins, we will provide the required product and field training before assigning him independently to the service area.
