Job summary

Stelling Technologies in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Quality & Safety Leader to define and enforce depot and parking location inspection standards, halt dispatch for non-compliance, and drive zero-tolerance safety culture across the fleet.

You will oversee daily pre-dispatch and post-trip inspections, design SOPs and checklists, optimize staffing, and push digitization of reporting to boost fleet quality and passenger satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and enforce bus quality and safety inspection standards across depots and parking locations.
• Ensure zero tolerance for safety violations and non-compliance.
• Act as the final authority to halt dispatch of buses that do not meet safety or quality standards.
• Lead daily pre-dispatch and post-trip inspection activities.
• Design and implement inspection workflows, SOPs, and standardized checklists.
• Ensure optimal inspector staffing, shift planning, and operational coverage.
• Recruit, train, and manage quality inspection teams.
• Conduct regular training and skill enhancement sessions on safety norms and inspection techniques.
• Drive accountability through audits, performance evaluations, and corrective action plans.
• Drive digitization and automation of inspection, reporting, and compliance processes.
• Analyze inspection data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet safety and quality.
• Ensure buses consistently meet cleanliness, comfort, and safety benchmarks.
• Reduce passenger complaints related to vehicle condition, cleanliness, and safety concerns.
• Ensure all onboard amenities align with customer commitments and brand standards.
• Implement uniform quality and safety standards across multiple depots and conduct surprise audits, quality benchmarking, and compliance reviews across locations.

5. Passenger Experience & Brand Quality

• Ensure buses consistently meet cleanliness, comfort, and safety benchmarks.

• Ensure all onboard amenities align with customer commitments and brand standards.

6. Cross-Depot Standardization

• Implement uniform quality and safety standards across multiple depots (where applicable).

• Conduct surprise audits, quality benchmarking, and compliance reviews across locations.
