Job summary

Medtronic, Gurgaon-based, is seeking a field-based Energy-Based Devices sales professional to drive product adoption and sales within the territory. The role requires regular customer visits, operating room presence, and strong collaboration with surgeons and hospital stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years with a relevant diploma or 2+ years with a bachelor’s, plus experience in energy-based devices, surgical products, and healthcare procurement.

Qualifications

  • Experience selling energy-based devices, surgical products, or operating room technologies
  • Knowledge of hospital procurement processes, competitive market dynamics, and healthcare customer decision-making
  • Experienced developing key account plans and driving adoption of premium or technology-based healthcare solutions

Responsibilities

  • Achieve territory sales targets by driving product utilization, account penetration, and customer engagement across assigned accounts
  • Conduct daily sales calls and develop relationships with surgeons, operating room staff, purchasing teams, and hospital decision-makers
  • Maintain regular operating room presence to support product usage, clinical discussions, and procedural case coverage
  • Execute focused product growth plans through product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive conversion activities
  • Develop and implement account plans for key accounts, including opportunity identification, stakeholder mapping, and revenue growth strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and academic institutions within the territory
  • Organize and support approved clinical education programs, CME activities, and other customer engagement initiatives
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on sales activities, market intelligence, competitive insights, and business performance metrics

A Day in the Life

The Energy-Based Devices portfolio focuses on technologies that support tissue dissection, vessel sealing, and procedural efficiency across a broad range of surgical specialties. This customer-facing sales role works closely with surgeons, operating room staff, hospital stakeholders, and channel partners to drive adoption of advanced surgical technologies while supporting clinical and commercial objectives within the assigned territory.

This position is based in Gurgaon and is a field-based role requiring regular customer visits, operating room presence, account management activities, and engagement with healthcare professionals across the territory. Travel is 70% for the said territory coverage area.

This role is responsible for driving sales performance, supporting product adoption, and building strong clinical and commercial relationships within the assigned territory. The individual will work closely with healthcare professionals to support product evaluations, identify growth opportunities, and execute territory plans that contribute to business objectives.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
