Medtronic is seeking a Territory Manager for its Endo Mechanical and Intelligent Devices portfolio to drive sales and growth in the defined territory. Qualifications

  • Achieve territory sales objectives and secondary sales targets through territory planning and customer engagement.
  • Promote and sell EMID products within assigned accounts and geographic territories.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with surgeons, healthcare professionals, hospital administrators, procurement teams, distributors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide operating theatre support, product demonstrations, clinical education, and product evaluations to facilitate adoption and usage.
  • Identify new business opportunities, assess customer needs, and recommend solutions to maximise value.
  • Conduct market research and gather competitive intelligence to support territory growth plans.
  • Communicate feedback and market requirements to internal teams and maintain accurate reporting.

A Day in the Life

Endo Mechanical and Intelligent Devices (EMID) is focused on delivering surgical technologies that support minimally invasive and open procedures across a broad range of specialties. The portfolio includes stapling systems, access devices, hand instruments, powered stapling platforms, and intelligent surgical technologies used in operating room environments. This role requires extensive travel within the assigned territory, including regular hospital visits, operating theatre support, customer meetings, training activities, distributor engagement, and regional business reviews. The Territory Manager is responsible for achieving sales objectives within the assigned territory through customer engagement, account management, clinical support, distributor management, and execution of territory growth strategies. This role works closely with healthcare professionals, hospital stakeholders, and channel partners to drive adoption of the EMID portfolio while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve territory sales objectives and secondary sales targets through effective territory planning, customer engagement, and execution of sales strategies.
  • Promote and sell Endo Mechanical and Intelligent Devices products, including Stapling, Access, and Hand Instruments, within assigned accounts and geographic territories.
  • Develop, strengthen, and maintain long-term relationships with surgeons, healthcare professionals, hospital administrators, procurement teams, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide operating theatre support, product demonstrations, clinical education, and product evaluations to facilitate adoption and effective product utilisation.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, assess customer needs, and recommend appropriate product solutions to maximise customer value.
  • Conduct market research and gather competitive intelligence, including customer trends, procedural volumes, competitor activities, and market dynamics to support territory growth plans.
  • Implement market development strategies and account plans, adapting commercial approaches as business needs and market conditions evolve.
  • Communicate customer feedback, product performance insights, and market requirements to internal stakeholders, including Research and Development, Operations, Marketing, and Commercial teams, while maintaining accurate sales and activity reporting.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years experience* OR Associate’s Degree AND 4+ years experience* OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience*
Preferred
  • Experience selling surgical products, with preference for stapling, access devices, hand instruments, or advanced surgical technology portfolios.
  • Experience with high-value capital equipment or clinically complex medical device solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in competitor conversion, market development, and growing adoption of focus products within hospital accounts.
  • Knowledge of hospital procurement processes, healthcare market dynamics, and key opinion leader engagement.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, research and development, operations, and commercial leadership functions.
