Job summary

SHV Energy seeks experienced personnel for LPG storage and transfer operations at Tuticorin. The role covers start-up/shut down, emergencies handling, and routine panel operation of propane, butane and condensate storage with both refrigerated and atmospheric tanks.

You will manage process parameters, alarms, and ship loading on rotating shifts. Candidates should hold BE/B.Tech in Chemical/Petrochemical/Petroleum and have strong knowledge of HSE, LOTO, and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Chemical/Petrochemical/Petroleum is required.
• Experience with start-up/shut down and emergencies handling in LPG storage/transfer is essential.
• Strong knowledge of HSE, process safety management, and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Propane, Butane and Condensate storage areas, including refrigerated and atmospheric tanks and refrigeration systems.
• Control process parameters via DCS; manage alarms, trips, interlocks and loading operations.
• Apply Permit to Work, LOTO, and safety procedures for field and control room maintenance.
• Review drawings and vendor documents; ensure compliance with safety and process standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Having experience in start-up, shut down, emergencies handling and routine panel operation of Propane, Butane and Condensate Storage area with refrigerated and atmospheric storage tanks and refrigeration system, fuel gas and flare system, utilities like Instrument air, Nitrogen generation unit, Product (C3/C4) Storage/Handling & Transfer, Ship Loading Operations and Flare Operation on rotating shift Basis.
• To monitor & control process parameters in DCS panel in utilities, storage tank, Rotary equipment and loading gantry. Strong understanding of process parameters, operating limits, alarms, process trends, interpretations, Trips & interlock.
• Skilled in Permit to Work system and HSE requirements for issuing permits for field and control room maintenance work. Detailed knowledge of Lock out /Tag out system, isolation system, HSE, Override system for execution of maintenance works.
• Skilled in operation of instruments, equipment, and machines like refrigeration screw compressor, Multistage centrifugal pumps, diesel generators, control valves, level gauges, and meters and good knowledge of maintenance activities of instruments, equipment, and machines.
• Detailed knowledge of fire & safety equipment, Gas detector instruments function operation in process, utilities, storage and loading areas.
• Ability to review Vendor documents, Completion dossiers review, drawings like PFDs, P&IDs, Operating manuals, and other operations deliverable
• Having knowledge in Process hazard analysis, process safety management, safety standards related to oil and gas field.
