Job summary

Plizma Technology Kolkata West Bengal is seeking a competent Tender & Proposal Engineer to independently manage government and private-sector tenders for Water and Wastewater treatment projects, including STP/ETP/WTP/RO/UF/DM and solid waste systems.

The candidate will read tender documents, prepare technical and commercial submissions, coordinate supporting documents, and submit online bids within deadlines, working with sales, engineering and procurement teams to ensure compliant offers.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.Tech in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years tendering or proposal experience.
• Experience in Water/Wastewater/EPC preferred.
• Hands-on with GeM and government e-tender portals.
• Ability to read tender documents and prepare submissions.

Responsibilities

• Search and identify relevant tenders through GeM, CPPP, e-Procurement and various state tender portals.
• Review complete tender documents, technical specifications, BOQ, eligibility criteria and contractual conditions.
• Prepare tender summaries, eligibility sheets, document checklists and bid submission schedules.
• Prepare technical compliance statements, deviation sheets and techno-commercial proposals.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for quotations, technical documents, authorization letters and supporting credentials.
• Prepare and compile EMD, tender fee, bank guarantee, affidavits, declarations and other statutory documents.
• Fill BOQs and assist management in tender costing and price analysis.
• Independently upload and submit online bids through GeM and other e-tendering portals.
• Handle pre-bid queries, technical clarifications, reverse auctions and post-bid documentation.
• Track bid status, deadlines, corrigenda, technical evaluation and commercial results.
• Maintain an organized database of company credentials, past orders, completion certificates, financial documents and tender records.
• Support the preparation of technical offers and proposals for private-sector enquiries.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, procurement, accounts and management teams.

The candidate must have practical experience in reading tender documents, preparing technical and commercial submissions, coordinating supporting documents and submitting online bids within deadlines.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma/B.Tech in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of practical tendering or proposal experience.
• Experience in Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Environmental Engineering, EPC or related industries will be strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience in GeM and government e-tender portals is essential.
• Candidate should have independently participated in online tender submissions.
• Ability to understand technical specifications, equipment BOQs and commercial terms.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PDF editing and online documentation.
• Good written communication and document-drafting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within strict deadlines.
