Job summary

Tata Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking an automotive telematics engineer to help define system architecture, manage requirements, and coordinate with Tier 1 suppliers during integration and testing.

The role covers telematics features such as remote services, OTA updates, diagnostics, vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet) and ASPICE-based development processes. Strong communication and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in automotive systems or embedded domain.
• Basic understanding of automotive telematics architecture.
• Knowledge of cellular connectivity (2G/4G/LTE), GNSS.
• Vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet).
• OTA and diagnostics concepts.
• Experience in system integration and validation activities.
• Familiarity with automotive development lifecycle and ASPICE.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support system definition and requirements management for Telematics Control Units (TCU).
• Assist in the integration of telematics features including remote services, OTA updates, and diagnostics.
• Coordinate with Tier 1 suppliers on software deliveries, integration issues, and change requests.
• Participate in system integration, bench testing, and vehicle-level validation.
• Support testing activities including connectivity validation, backend/cloud feature validation, and network validation (CAN, Ethernet).
• Track issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure closure of defects.
• Ensure compliance with OEM development processes and quality standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and integration notes.

  • OTA updates and diagnostics
  • Fleet and connected services
• Coordinate with Tier 1 suppliers on software deliveries, integration issues, and change requests
• Participate in system integration, bench testing, and vehicle-level validation
• Support testing activities including:
  • Connectivity validation (Cellular, GNSS)
  • Backend/cloud feature validation
  • Network communication validation (CAN, Ethernet)
• Track issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure closure of defects
• Ensure compliance with OEM development processes and quality standards
