Job summary

Sasken Technologies is seeking an experienced Automotive Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement bootloaders, CCU/DCU/TCU integrations, and middleware for automotive platforms. You will work on telematics, gateway, and body electronics, ensuring robust boot processes and secure software practices.

Required experience includes 5–8 years in automotive embedded systems, strong C/C++ skills, and familiarity with CAN/LIN/UART/UDS; exposure to AUTOSAR MCAL, debugging with Trace32, and issue

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in automotive embedded software.
• Strong Embedded C/C++ development experience and bootloader development.
• Hands-on in UDS, flash programming, memory & peripheral init.
• Proficient in IPC, Msg Queues, DBus, Systemd in middleware.
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UART, UDS automotive protocols.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and validate embedded software for automotive systems.
• Work on bootloaders, middleware, telematics, gateway and body electronics.
• Analyze requirements, debug issues, and support testing and integration activities.

Job description

Automotive Embedded Software Engineer (Bootloader / CCU / DCU)

Experience: 5 to 8 Years

Key Skills Required

• Strong experience in Embedded C/C++ Development
• Hands-on experience in Bootloader Development, UDS, Flash Programming, Memory & Peripheral Initialization
• Experience in Application and Middleware Development (IPC, Message Queues, DBus, Systemd)
• Knowledge of Automotive Communication Protocols: CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, UART, UDS
• Experience in CCU/DCU/TCU/Gateway Integration and Automotive Embedded Systems
• Hands-on experience with Telemetry/Telematics Applications and Modem Integration
• Exposure to AUTOSAR MCAL, Device Drivers, and CDD Development
• Experience with Automotive Cybersecurity concepts such as Secure Boot, Secure Flash, and Secure Debug
• Strong debugging and issue analysis skills (Trace32 preferred)
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, vehicle log collection, and root cause analysis

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Vector FBL or similar Flash Bootloader architectures
• Exposure to BCM, SMK, CCU, DCU, or Gateway applications
• Knowledge of hardware schematics and system integration
• Experience with open-source bootloaders (U-Boot, etc.)
• Understanding of vehicle lifecycle and manufacturing activities
