Job summary

Skillventory seeks a firmware/telematics engineer to own microcontroller-based firmware interfacing vehicle networks with cellular modems. You will drive edge logic for OTA flashing, remote diagnostics, and data analytics while coordinating cross-functional troubleshooting across Cloud, Network, and Vehicle Interfaces.

Qualifications

• Understanding of IoT frameworks from security and data communication standpoints.
• Understanding of MQTT protocol, TCP/IP and UDP.
• Knowledge of security implementation using certificates in PKI environment.
• Hands on exposure to CAN-FD, UART and SPI drivers.
• Hands on exposure to UDS and ISO-TP protocols.

Responsibilities

• System Ownership: Manage the microcontroller-based firmware interfacing vehicle network and cellular modem.

• Partner with stakeholders to refine device provisioning and optimize network traffic for robust connectivity.
• Identify design improvements and participate in shaping the next-gen connectivity architecture for future vehicle platforms.
• Analyze complex system logs to debug intermittent connectivity issues in a distributed cloud-to-vehicle ecosystem.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers and system architects to optimize end-to-end data flow.
