Job summary

DIS creadis in Chennai, India, is seeking a Tekla Structures Modeler to develop accurate 3D structural steel models and prepare GA/shop drawings for fabrication and erection. You will create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings, ensuring Eurocode compliance and alignment with project specifications.

The role requires coordinating with engineers, detailers, and project teams to resolve design issues and update drawings per revisions and site feedback.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–6 years of Tekla Structures experience as Modeler.
• Expertise in GA and shop drawings and 3D structural steel models.
• Knowledge of welding symbols and Eurocode compliance.
• Experience with connection detailing, bolt detailing and erection sequences.
• Ability to interpret structural design drawings and specifications.

• Develop accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.
• Prepare (GA) drawings and shop drawings for fabrication and erection
• Create detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and part drawings
• Ensure all models and drawings comply with EU standards and project specifications
• Coordinate with engineers, detailers, and project teams to resolve design and detailing issues

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 2 to 6 years years of experience in Tekla structures as Modeler
• Expertise in preparing GA drawings, shop drawings, and 3D structural steel models, knowledge of welding symbols
• Extensive experience modeling and detailing structural steel in compliance with Eurocode
• Knowledge of connection detailing, weld symbols, bolt detailing, and erection sequences
• Ability to interpret structural design drawings and specifications
