Job summary

APS Building Solutions Pvt Ltd in Chennai seeks a Tekla Structures specialist to interpret client drawings and standards, and to ensure quality output. You will read design calcs, plan connections, and take ownership of model fabrication and marking plans for steel structures.

Experience with BS 5950, Eurocode, and AISC is valued, along with coordination on sub-trades and contract administration as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Tekla Structures latest versions and ability to read client drawings.
• Knowledge of relevant design codes such as BS 5950, Eurocode, AISC.
• Ability to read design calcs and connection marking plans.
• Willingness to take responsibility for final quality output.

Responsibilities

• Must be experienced in Preparation and checking of MTO models in Tekla structures and performing completeness checks.
• Should have hands-on experience in typical connections and mass connection application.
• Generation of technical queries and administration of same is preferred.
• Must have working ability in preparation and checking of fabrication drawings for all types of main structural members of all types of structures.
• Must be able to prepare and check G.A. & marking plan for all types of structures.
• Modelling and editing of miscellaneous items like handrails, stairs, safety gates & ladders and generating reports for cold rolled sections is mandatory.
• Interpretation, checking and incorporation of sub-trades details into relevant models is desired.
• Co-ordination and administration of smaller contracts whenever necessary.
