Job summary

DEC Industries seeks a Tekla Modeler PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings) to create and maintain accurate 3D models and drawings using Tekla Structures. You will coordinate with design, detailing, fabrication, and site teams to ensure timely delivery and project accuracy.

The role requires 3–5+ years of experience, Diploma/BE/BTech in Civil/Mechanical/Structural engineering, and strong Tekla Structures skills, with IS knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD optional.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in Tekla-based detailing for PEB/structural steel.
• Proficient in Tekla Structures and IS standards; able to prepare GA, shop, erection drawings.
• Good reading of structural drawings and coordination with design, fabrication and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models of PEB steel structures using Tekla Structures.
• Prepare GA drawings and fabrication, erection drawings.
• Model steel connections, base plates, bracing, purlins and columns.
• Extract BOM/BOQ and material reports from Tekla models.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams for revisions and updates.
• Review drawings for modeling accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Support fabrication and erection teams by resolving detailing issues.

Job Summary

The Tekla Modeler is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate 3D models and detailed drawings of PEB and structural steel projects using Tekla Structures. The role involves coordination with design, detailing, fabrication, and site teams to ensure project accuracy and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models of PEB steel structures using Tekla Structures.
• Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Generate fabrication, assembly, single-part, and erection drawings.
• Model steel connections, base plates, bracing systems, purlins, girts, rafters, and columns.
• Extract Bills of Materials (BOM), BOQ, and material reports from Tekla models.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, designers, and project teams for revisions and updates.
• Review structural and architectural drawings for modeling accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
• Support fabrication and erection teams by resolving detailing issues.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures.
• Knowledge of structural steel detailing and PEB system in Indian Standards (IS).
• Ability to prepare shop drawings and erection drawings.
• Understanding of steel connections (bolted and welded).
• Familiarity with fabrication and erection processes.
• Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
