Job summary

Qualifications

Role Description

The Tekla Modeler role is a full-time, on-site position based in Tiruchirappalli. The Tekla Modeler will be responsible for creating and managing detailed 3D models of structural steel, rebar, and precast elements using Tekla Structures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications, standards, and client requirements. Daily tasks include interpreting engineering drawings, coordinating with design and detailing teams, preparing shop and erection drawings, and updating models to reflect design changes and site conditions. The role also involves performing clash checks, verifying dimensions, maintaining model integrity and documentation, and supporting project managers with model-based reports and material lists. Collaboration with other modelers and engineers to meet deadlines and maintain quality is a key part of this position.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for structural steel, rebar, and precast concrete modeling, with experience in 3D modeling and detailing workflows.
• Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings, including general arrangement drawings, connection details, and reinforcement plans.
• Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to steel detailing, rebar detailing, and precast elements, along with good understanding of construction practices.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to identify and resolve modeling and detailing issues proactively.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, detailers, and project managers in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with CAD or other detailing tools is an advantage, along with familiarity with BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
• Relevant diploma or degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field; prior experience as a Tekla Modeler or detailer is highly preferred.
• Willingness to work on-site in Tiruchirappalli and contribute to global projects with a focus on quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
