Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tekla Detailer with 5-8 years of experience to join our team in SES, Hosur.

• 3D Modeling:Creating and managing detailed 3D models of structural components like beams, columns, plates, and connections using Tekla Structures.
• Drawing Preparation:Generating fabrication drawings, shop drawings, erection drawings, and other necessary documentation for fabrication and construction directly from the 3D model.
• Accuracy & Precision:Ensuring all details, measurements, specifications, and connections are accurate and adhere to project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaboration & Coordination:Working closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and fabricators to ensure accurate detailing, resolve design discrepancies, and facilitate smooth project workflow.
• Clash Detection & Resolution:Identifying and resolving conflicts or clashes between structural elements within the 3D model, as well as with other disciplines like mechanical and electrical systems, at an early stage to prevent costly rework and delays during fabrication and construction.
• Documentation & Reporting:Generating various reports and documentation, such as material take-offs, bolt lists, and drawing lists, directly from the model,according to LinkedIn.
• Compliance:Ensuring all detailing work adheres to relevant industry codes and standards like AISC, AWS, OSHA, and NISD.
• Problem-Solving:Identifying and resolving issues related to detailing and design discrepancies effectively and efficiently.
• Time Management:Managing multiple projects and working under tight deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of accurate drawings and models.

Required skills and qualifications

• Education:A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred,
• Software Proficiency:High level of proficiency in Tekla Structures software is a must.
• Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of steel detailing principles, structural engineering concepts, building materials, and industry standards is essential.
• Interpretation Skills:Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings accurately.
• Drawing & Detailing:Experience in creating detailed shop and fabrication drawings for various structural components.
• Mathematical Skills:Basic knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and relevant engineering calculations.
• Attention to Detail:Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are critical for this role.
• Communication & Collaboration:Strong communication skills for effective coordination with engineers, architects, project managers, and other team members are vital.
• Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to identify and resolve design issues and challenges in the detailing process.
• Organizational Skills:Good organizational skills to manage project timelines, tasks, and documentation effectively.
• BIM & 3D Modeling:Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) concepts and other 3D modeling software like AutoCAD or Revit can be advantageous
