Job summary

NPCI is hiring a Technology Auditor to evaluate information systems, technology infrastructure, and IT processes for security, reliability and regulatory alignment. The role focuses on governance, controls, risk assessment, and controls testing across core payment platforms.

You will review ITGCs, security controls, application and infrastructure audits, and ensure compliance with RBI/UIDAI guidelines, supporting statutory audits as needed.

Responsibilities

  • IT Governance & Controls: Review IT general controls such as access, change management, IT operations; assess alignment with COBIT/ITIL/ISO 27001.
  • Information Security & Cyber Risk: Assess controls for confidentiality, integrity, availability; review incident response and breach management.
  • Application & Systems Audit: Audit applications (UPI, IMPS, NFS, Rupay); review access controls, data validation, and authorisation.
  • Infrastructure & Technology Reviews: Review servers, databases, networks, cloud, BC/DR arrangements.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with RBI/UIDAI/NCIIPC and DPDP/KP guidelines; support audits.

Technology Auditor role is responsible for evaluating an organization’s information systems, technology infrastructure, and IT-related processes to ensure they are secure, reliable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. 1. IT Governance & ControlsReview and assess IT general controls (ITGC) such as:Access managementChange managementIT operationsEvaluate alignment with frameworks like COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001.Assess IT governance structure, policies, and procedures. 2. Infrastructure & Technology ReviewsReview IT infrastructure including:Servers, databases, networksCloud environments and outsourced services.Evaluate business continuity (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) arrangements. 5. Regulatory & Compliance AssuranceEnsure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards such as:RBI / UIDAI / NCIIPC guidelines.Data Privacy Laws (e.g., DPDP Act).Support statutory, concurrent, and regulatory audits.
