Job summary

SGI Netronics is seeking an on-site CCTV and access control Technician to install, configure, and test cameras, DVR/NVRs, and door access devices at client sites in Kochi. You will read wiring diagrams, route cables, terminate connections, and integrate security equipment with existing networks as needed.

You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, document work, and provide basic user training while adhering to safety standards and project timelines in a dynamic field

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR, and access control devices.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical docs, route cables, terminate connections safely.
• Experience diagnosing faults, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and performing preventive maintenance on security systems.
• Basic knowledge of IP networking (LAN, IP addressing) and integrating security systems with networks.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi for Technicians specializing in CCTV and access control systems. The technician will install, configure, and test CCTV cameras, access control panels, door locks, and related peripherals at client locations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting system issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance and uptime of all installed equipment.

The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, routing cables, terminating connectors, and integrating systems with existing networks where required.

The technician will also document work performed, provide basic user training to clients, follow safety and security standards, and coordinate with the project and support teams to meet installation timelines.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in installing, configuring, and maintaining CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and access control devices.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation, perform cable routing and termination, and use basic electrical and networking tools safely.
• Experience diagnosing faults, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and performing preventive maintenance on security systems.
• Basic knowledge of IP networking concepts (LAN, IP addressing), and familiarity with integrating CCTV and access control systems with network infrastructure.
• Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Relevant technical diploma or certification in electronics, electrical, networking, or a related field; prior experience in security systems installation is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel locally to client sites in and around Kerala and adhere to company safety and quality standards.
