Job summary

Matrix Security Surveillance is seeking an CCTV Installation Technician for field roles in Thane. The technician will perform on-site installation of CCTV cameras, DVRs, and NVRs, configure systems, manage cables, and ensure network integration.

The role involves client interaction, site surveys, routine maintenance, and adherence to safety standards. ITI, Diploma, or any degree relevant to the role is required, with a focus on practical installation skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and set up CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs and related equipment on client sites.
• Configure systems for optimal video quality and IP/network integration.
• Lay, connect and test cables (coaxial, Cat5/6, fiber) for power and connectivity.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues on-site.
• Conduct pre-install site surveys to determine camera placement and equipment setup.
• Provide maintenance and software updates to ensure system functionality.
• Explain system operations to clients and provide basic training.
• Maintain records of installations, service reports and configurations.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and local regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to meet deadlines.

1. Installation & Setup: Perform on-site installation of CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and related security equipment as per client requirements.

2. System Configuration: Configure and calibrate systems for optimal video quality, including IP address assignment and network integration.

3. Cable Management: Lay, connect, and test cables (coaxial, Cat5/6, fiber optics) for seamless connectivity and power supply.

4. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to CCTV systems on-site.

5. Site Survey & Planning: Conduct pre-installation surveys to determine the best locations for camera placement and equipment setup.

6. Maintenance & Upgrades: Provide regular maintenance, software updates, and upgrades to ensure system functionality.

7. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to explain system operations, provide training, and address concerns.

8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, service reports, and system configurations.

9. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure installations comply with industry standards and local regulations.
