Responsibilities

• Ensure procedures are performed in a safe and prescribed manner.
• Respect privacy and confidentiality of patients, visitors and physicians.
• Demonstrate effective application of technical and professional knowledge.
• Assist consultants in carrying out procedures including bronchoscopy.
• Maintain clear communication to inform patients about tests and procedures.
• Ensure error-free routine tests and record results in department registers.
• Understand and operate the equipment used in the department.
• Maintain and upkeep all department equipment.
• Ensure consent forms are filled and explained to patients as required.
• Promote environmental sustainability in daily tasks.
• Be familiar with the IMS system of the Hospital.
• Be aware of the Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
• Comply with service quality, environmental and occupational policies.
• Comply with patient safety policy.
• Record log of incidents for occupational events in the department.
• Assist in training of new employees.
• Educate subordinates on equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Implement infection control policies and manage waste to minimize wastage.
• Maintain adequate stocks of materials and avoid wastage.
