Job summary

Rainbow Hospitals in Bengaluru seeks a Maintenance Technician - Electrician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility equipment, ensuring safety and adherence to predictive maintenance standards.

You will perform electrical, plumbing and carpentry tasks, maintain CMMS records, attend safety trainings, and respond to service calls to prevent outages and incidents.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Electrician Job Grade:Department: Maintenance Reporting to: Maintenance In-charge Location: Unit Job Summary: Responsible for troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems. • To resolve and rectify problems correctly prior to breakdowns occurrence.
• Responsible for maintaining records of work done, time records and PPM records through the CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system).

People

• Attend regular training on safety and handling of services.
• Responsible for training the people on functionality of different equipment and corrective actions in-case of emergency.

Customer

• Timely and promptly reporting defects and failures to line management.
• Respond to all services calls & Maintain utility consumption records.
• Collaborate with other operators to solve unit problems.

Operations

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs when needed.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance for every equipment in respective facility.
• Responsible to perform basic repairs and troubleshooting activities like plumbing, electrical components, vacuum cleaners, Medical Gases, Plumbing fittings, Carpentry works, internet devices, replace electrical switches and bulbs, and other attendees room items.
• Taking appropriate safety measures while performing maintenance activities like wearing safety equipment, protective footwear, goggles and gloves as necessary and use of manual handling equipment according to risk assessments.
• Responsible for implementation of energy conservation techniques on complete systems.
• Monitoring & recording of all equipments in good condition.
• Responsible or troubleshooting and correcting complex problems with all life safety systems to include fire detection/alarm, fire suppression systems, fire pumps, fire systems troubles and fire alarms response.
• Follow up investigations to determine the cause of fire systems alarms and to ensure/verify the proper operation of fire and life safety systems.
• Complete inspections of offices and laboratories with Maintenance Manager
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
• Determine causes of abnormal pressure variances, and make corrective recommendations, such as installation of pipes to relieve overloading.
• Monitor equipment functioning, observe temperature, level, and flow gauges, and perform regular unit checks, in order to ensure that all equipment is operating as it should.
