Job summary

Andhra Paper Limited in Andhra Pradesh seeks an Instrumentation Shift Engineer to coordinate with process and maintenance teams, ensuring healthiness of tissue machine instrumentation and DCS/QCS systems.

You will lead troubleshooting, supervise safety of instrumentation crew, and coordinate preventive maintenance, calibration, and cross-functional instrument activities with mechanical and electrical engineers.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Instrumentation with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in process control industries, preferably tissue machine and paper.
• Knowledge of field instruments, their calibration, and process control loops.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate instrumentation health with process and maintenance teams.
• Lead instrumentation shift maintenance activities.
• Plan preventive maintenance & scheduling with G-shift engineers.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers for instrumentation jobs.
• Ensure statutory checks related to instrumentation.
• Train sub-ordinates for instrumentation activities.

Job description

Job Summary

• Co-ordinate with the process and other maintenance teams to ensure the instruments and control system healthiness connected to Tissue Machine.
• Act as an instrumentation shift Engineer to handle all the areas related to Tissue Machine Instrumentation.
• To lead the trouble shooting of instrumentation problems for finding the root cause in co-ordination with Operations and other maintenance teams.
• Monitoring the performance of DCS, BMS, MCS & QCS systems, Other Field Instruments & Reporting to the concerned Area Engineer.
• Ensure the Safety & Environmental standards related to Instrumentation activities.

Functional Responsibilities:

• To take the lead of Safety of instrumentation crew in assigned Area.
• To take the lead of Instrumentation shift maintenance activities by co-ordinating with the concerned Area Instrumentation G-Shift Engineers.
• Preventive Maintenance Planning & Scheduling along with G-shift Engineer.
• Co-ordination with Process, other Engineers of Mechanical & Electrical for execution of Instrumentation jobs.
• Ensure the Statutory checks in the area related to Instrumentation.
• To train the sub-ordinates for the Instrumentation activities.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Diploma in Instrumentation discipline with Minimum 3 Years of Experience.
• Experience in process control industries preferably Tissue Machine and Paper industries.
• Knowledge in Instruments and process controls used in process control industries.
• Knowledge of field instruments and their trouble shooting and calibration.
• Knowledge and hands on experience of DCS, QCS and PLC Systems. Preferably in Valmet DCS & QCS Systems. Knowledge on Tissues Machine Related Instrumentation.
• Experience on Instrumentation Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance activities.
• Experience on various type & brands of Field Transmitters, Analyzers and Final Control Elements.
• Knowledge and Experience on Pneumatic and Hydraulic Control systems
