Job summary

Rubicon Research Limited in Pithampur, MP, is seeking a Senior Technician for OSD Coating. The role focuses on operation and cleaning of coating machines, calibration of IPQC instruments, and ensuring proper batch startup and in-process checks.

The candidate will oversee coating lines, assist in maintenance, and ensure hygiene in the manufacturing area. The position requires 4–7 years of experience, an ITI or diploma in Pharmacy/Engineering, and the ability to work across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Coating Operations
• Set, operate and monitor GLATT, ACG and other coating machines.
• Operate Proditec and Enclony and other tablet inspection machines.
• Ensure calibration of balances and IPQC instruments.
• Ensure correct machine settings, batch start up and in-process checks.
• Issue silicon tubing and spare parts and record as per documents.
• Perform troubleshooting and autonomous maintenance of coating machines.
• Carry out in-process checks like weight variation and disintegration as per BMR.
• Monitor rejections and minimize losses during batch run.
• Carry out cleaning activities and line clearance per SOP.
• Maintain hygiene and discipline in manufacturing area.
• Maintain accurate BMR and log books; report deviations and malfunctions promptly.
• Fill BMR and logbooks during start up and operation; assist in reconciliation and rejections.
• Coordinate activities of contractual staff; train junior operators.

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables

Coating Operations

• Sets, Operates and monitors GLATT ,ACG and other make coating machines and associated machines like stirrer and peristaltic pumps.
• Set and Operates Proditec and Enclony and other make tablet inspection machine
• Ensure calibration of balances and other IPQC Instrument.
• Ensure correct machine settings, batch start up and challenge and in process checks.
• Ensure issuance of silicon tubing, spare parts and its recording as per the documents.
• Performs troubleshooting and autonomous maintenance of coating machines.

Quality Compliance

• Perform in process checks like weight Variation, Disintegration test etc. as per BMR.
• Monitor rejections and ensure minimal rejection and losses during batch run.
• Carry out cleaning activities and line clearance as per SOP before and after batch.
• Maintains hygiene and discipline in manufacturing area.

Documentation and Compliance

• Maintain accurate and timely records for BMR and log books including equipment usage logs
• Report deviations, machine malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisors promptly
• Fills BMR and logbooks online during start up and while in operation for in process. Assists in reconciliation and rejections of in process.

Teamwork and Coordination

• Coordinates activities of contractual staff for smooth functioning of coating areas.
• Train junior operators, contractual as and when required.
