Job description

We are looking for a Technical Writer with strong expertise in creating clear, comprehensive, and developer-friendly API documentation. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to produce world-class technical content that enables developers to easily understand and integrate our APIs and developer tools.

• CTC: 5-6 LPA, Location – Kolkata, WFH

Key Responsibilities:

• Author and maintain high-quality documentation for APIs, SDKs, and developer tools.
• Create tutorials, quick start guides, code samples, and FAQ.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to gather information and clarify technical details.
• Organize documentation logically for discoverability and usability.
• Develop consistent style guides and standards for technical documentation.
• Update documentation based on product updates, developer feedback, and API versioning.
• Advocate for developer experience (DX) best practices through documentation improvements.
• Manage documentation portals (such as ReadMe, GitBook, Confluence, Swagger/OpenAPI tools, or custom sites).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication, English, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience writing API documentation or developer-focused technical content.
• Strong understanding of APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, Webhooks) and developer ecosystems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with OpenAPI (Swagger), Postman, API Gateway documentation, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Hands‑on experience testing APIs using Postman, Insomnia, or curl.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, Git, and documentation‑as‑code practices (Markdown, AsciiDoc).
• Experience with developer community content creation (e.g., blog posts, tutorials, sample apps).
• Prior experience in SaaS, fintech, or API‑first companies.
