Job summary

Blackbaud India is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to transform complex concepts into clear, user-focused documentation. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and UX professionals to deliver high-quality content and leverage AI technologies to improve efficiency and consistency across our solutions.

You’ll create and maintain documentation including online help, tutorials, and release communications using MadCap Flare, while guiding peers and contributing to content governance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional technical writing experience, including senior-level or lead contributor responsibilities.
• Expertise in MadCap Flare and structured authoring methodologies for software/product documentation.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted writing tools, content optimization, Azure DevOps, and Azure Storage Explorer.
• Ability to interpret user stories, requirements, and technical specs into clear, audience-focused documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication, editing, and quality assurance capabilities.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Create and maintain user-focused technical documentation, including online help, tutorials, release communications, and product guidance using MadCap Flare.
• Leverage AI-assisted authoring tools to improve documentation quality, streamline content development, and drive continuous innovation in content operations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information, understand product enhancements, and ensure documentation aligns with customer needs and product objectives.
• Translate well-defined user stories, requirements, and technical specifications into clear, structured, and accessible content.
• Manage documentation deliverables within Azure DevOps while maintaining content quality, accuracy, and consistency across multiple product areas.
• Use Azure Storage Explorer to access, organize, and maintain user-facing content while supporting effective content governance practices.
• Contribute to documentation standards, peer reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives, while providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced writers when needed.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of professional technical writing experience, including experience operating in a senior-level or lead contributor capacity.
• Expertise in MadCap Flare and structured authoring methodologies, with a strong background in developing software or product documentation.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted writing tools, content optimization practices, Azure DevOps, and Azure Storage Explorer.
• Strong ability to interpret user stories, business requirements, and technical specifications and translate them into clear, audience-focused documentation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong editing capabilities, and a demonstrated commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Experience working in Agile environments, with familiarity in software development, cloud technologies, instructional design, or user education preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
