Key Responsibilities
Create, edit, and maintain clear, concise, and user-focused technical documentation, including online help systems, user guides, release notes, process documentation, knowledge base articles, and workflow documentation.
Develop and publish structured online help content using MadCap Flare and related documentation tools.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, QA teams, business analysts, and subject matter experts to gather and validate technical information.
- Translate complex technical concepts and workflows into easy-to-understand content for technical and non‑technical users.
- Ensure documentation quality, consistency, usability, and adherence to established style guides, templates, and documentation standards.
- Manage documentation through the complete life cycle: planning, drafting, reviews, revisions, approvals, publishing, and maintenance.
- Maintain documentation repositories, content structures, reusable assets, and version‑controlled documentation.
- Utilize Azure DevOps to track documentation tasks, sprint deliverables, defects, and release activities.
- Understand and document end‑to‑end application workflows, business processes, and system interactions beyond feature‑level functionality.
- Review and update documentation to reflect software enhancements, product changes, bug fixes, and evolving business requirements.
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and align documentation deliverables with product release schedules.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to documentation processes, tooling, content strategy, and user experience.
- Effectively manage priorities, timelines, and multiple concurrent assignments while consistently meeting deadlines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- 2–6 years of professional technical writing experience in a software development or technology‑driven environment.
- Proven experience creating clear, structured, and user‑centric technical documentation.
- Hands‑on experience with MadCap Flare for developing and maintaining online help systems and documentation deliverables.
- Strong understanding of documentation best practices, information architecture, and content organization.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration and tracking tools.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience documenting software applications, APIs, system workflows, business processes, and enterprise applications.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, XML, Markdown, or structured authoring concepts is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems such as TFS/Git is an added advantage.
- Exposure to Materials Management, Supply Chain, ERP, or Healthcare systems is preferred.
