Job summary

Mettler-Toledo International, Inc in Mumbai, India, is seeking a skilled technical writer to plan, create, and manage product documentation including manuals, user guides, installation instructions, and quick guides. You will research information, create or edit texts in English, and maintain content in the XML-based CMS SCHEMA ST4.

You will produce technical illustrations from 2D and 3D data, edit visuals, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage documentation projects with attention to quality

Qualifications

• Degree in natural sciences or technology (e.g. M.Sc., B.E.).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical writing.
• Experience with SCHEMA ST4 or any CMS and Adobe CC.
• Experience with terminology tools and fluent English (C2).

• Plan, create, and manage product documentation (Manuals, User Manuals, Installation Instructions, Quick guides).

• Plan, create, and manage product documentation with a focus on Instruction Manuals, UserManuals, Installation Instructions, Quick guides etc.
• Research all information for the creation of product documentation
• Create or edit texts in English
• Target group-oriented content creation and maintenance in the XML-based CMS (SCHEMA ST4)
• Create technical illustrations from 2D and 3D data
• Edit line drawings, photos, and screenshots
• Compliance with and implementation of applicable regulatory requirements
• Management of documentation projects according to the project list

What You Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualification / Requirements:

• Degree in the natural sciences or technology (e.g. M.Sc., B.E., etc.)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical writing
• Experienced SCHEMA ST4 or any other content management system and Adobe CC user
• Experienced in working with terminology tools
• English fluently written and spoken (C2)
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently on projects
• Structured and result-driven
