Job summary

Arabelle Solutions seeks a seasoned Training Lead to manage the Nuclear steam turbine and generator manufacturing training program across product lines. You will run the training school for technicians and staff, ensuring safety, quality culture, and strong technical know-how.

Responsibilities include leading welding, machining and assembly training, maintaining logs and costs, and driving continuous improvement using lean tools.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or Diploma in Mechanical/Production with 10+ years in heavy fabrication.
• Minimum 5 years core experience in production/process of heavy fabrication.
• Training school experience is an advantage.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Catia or SAP is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the training program for technicians across factory.
• Train and qualify welders as per MTP plan and handover to production.
• Understand customer mindset and cascade requirements within the organization.
• Arrange skill refresher and cross-skill trainings for technical competency.
• Identify gaps and plan trainings with COE leaders; maintain training logs and costs.
• Identify and maintain training equipment budgets (capex/opex).
• Maintain SQDC performance with KPIs and report to management.
• Document learnings and drive continuous improvements; update SOPs.
• Develop training videos and SOPs for welding training; digitize data points.

Job Description:

Lead & drive the Nuclear steam turbine & generator manufacturing technical training program across all the product lines . Manage training school for technicians (& staff as needed).

Person will be accountable for training program management incl. processes like welding, machining & assembly, Testing related training, maintenance training etc. To ensure desired skilled workforce is deputed on production shop as per plan

It is also desired that persons is able to impart strong Safety & Quality culture amongst the technicians along with technical know-how.

Responsibilities

• Lead & drive the training program for various streams of technicians across factory.


• Train & Qualify Welders as per MTP plan & handover to production.


• Understanding of nuclear & services project customer mindset and able to cascade requirements within organization


• Arrange various skill re-fresher & cross skill training related to technical competency.


• Identify gaps on skills & competency with manufacturing COE leaders & plan trainings to fill the gaps.


• Maintain training log & cost associated to each training.


• Identify & maintain necessary equipments in training school plan for their capex & opex investment.


• Maintain training school SQDC performance with other KPI’s & report to management at desired intervals.


• Record the learnings and process improvements and sustain through continuous updating


• Usage of various quality and lean tools viz. VSM, PFMEA, 8D, KAIZEN and 5S


• Empower and support shop technicians process change suggestions and implementation.


• Drive new process qualification and prepare related documentation.


• Continuously improve manufacturing skills & competency.


• Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.


• Devleop SOP’s for visual management as well as training purpose


• Prepare, lead and drive detailed technical documents, videos (wherever possible as demonstration) for welding training for all applicable scope


• Active participation in digitizing all the data point of welding training for welders qualification and all the history as well as future planning


• Adhere to safety standards and adapt Arabelle Solutions Safety, Ethics & compliance rules


• Lead and drive daily management system with clear reporting of daily progress

• Good Software skills (AutoCAD, Catia, SAP)


• Good knowledge of ASME, EN, IBR, IS standard.

• Vendor development skills for new products and processes development.

Required Qualifications

• BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical /Production min 10 years of relevant experience – min 5-yearcore experience of production/process of heavy fabrication.

Experience in training school will be added advantage.
