Job summary

Alstom in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Microsoft Teams administrator to manage enterprise voice, devices, and end-user experiences across 80,000 users worldwide. You will optimize call quality, manage licenses, and support global live events, ensuring reliability and security.

You will drive the migration of fixed telephony to Teams Phone System, configure Teams Rooms and devices, analyze Call Quality Dashboard data, and research new Teams features.

Qualifications

• Graduated BE or B-Tech
• 8–10 years supporting Microsoft Teams
• Enterprise-level Teams administration knowledge
• Expertise in Teams Enterprise Voice, Conferencing, and Live Events
• Experience with Teams rooms and devices (Polycom, Lenovo, Yealink)
• Understanding of VOIP protocols and network configurations
• Troubleshooting Teams call quality with logs
• Familiarity with Wireshark, Fiddler, and monitoring tools
• PowerShell to maintain Teams
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work in shifts and comply with Alstom policies
• Proactive, team-oriented mindset

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of Microsoft Teams and related Office 365 services for 80,000 users worldwide. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as UCC & AD L3, Incident Management, and IT Security), liaise with external partners like Microsoft, and contribute to global-scale live events and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of tasks such as managing Teams devices and licenses, optimizing call quality, and driving the migration of fixed telephony to Teams Phone System, but also research and implement new features to enhance user experiences.

We’ll look to you for:

• Collaborating with UCC Architects on Microsoft Teams implementation projects
• Managing the migration of fixed telephony to Teams Phone System
• Configuring and managing Teams video conferencing and audio devices
• Analyzing Call Quality Dashboard data to optimize user experience
• Creating and managing custom apps on Teams
• Managing Teams-related licenses, including monthly clean-ups
• Supporting and managing global live events
• Researching, testing, and deploying new Teams features
• Providing technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve issues

• Graduated B.E or B-Tech
• 8–10 years of experience supporting Microsoft Teams
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams administration and architecture at an enterprise level
• Expertise in Teams Enterprise Voice, Teams Conferencing, and Live Events
• Experience with Microsoft Teams rooms (MTR) and devices like Polycom, Lenovo Smart Hubs, and Yealink
• Good understanding of VOIP protocols (SIP, RTP/RTCP, SRTP) and network configurations (DNS, DHCP)
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Teams call quality issues, including log analysis
• Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, Fiddler, and Teams monitoring/reporting tools
• Experience using PowerShell to maintain Microsoft Teams
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in shifts and adhere to Alstom policies and procedures
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
