Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Technical Specialist for Microsoft Teams in Bangalore to manage end-to-end Teams administration for a global user base. You will drive enterprise voice solutions, oversee licensing, and ensure seamless operation of Teams services across 80,000 users worldwide.

You will work with UCC & AD L3, Incident Management, IT Security, and external partners to implement features, migrate fixed telephony, and support large-scale live events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 8–10 years of experience supporting Microsoft Teams.
• Strong enterprise-level knowledge of Teams administration and architecture.
• Expertise in Teams Enterprise Voice, Conferencing, and Live Events.
• Experience with Teams devices and VOIP protocols (SIP, RTP/RTCP, SRTP).
• Proficiency with PowerShell for Teams administration.
• Ability to troubleshoot Teams call quality and analyze logs.
• Familiarity with Wireshark, Fiddler, and monitoring tools.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in Microsoft Teams administration and enterprise voice solutions in a cutting-edge global environment. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and solution-oriented teammates.

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of Microsoft Teams and related Office 365 services for 80,000 users worldwide. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as UCC & AD L3, Incident Management, and IT Security), liaise with external partners like Microsoft, and contribute to global-scale live events and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of tasks such as managing Teams devices and licenses, optimizing call quality, and driving the migration of fixed telephony to Teams Phone System, but also research and implement new features to enhance user experiences.

We’ll look to you for:

Collaborating with UCC Architects on Microsoft Teams implementation projects

Graduated B.E or B-Tech

8–10 years of experience supporting Microsoft Teams

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams administration and architecture at an enterprise level

Expertise in Teams Enterprise Voice, Teams Conferencing, and Live Events

Experience with Microsoft Teams rooms (MTR) and devices like Polycom, Lenovo Smart Hubs, and Yealink

Good understanding of VOIP protocols (SIP, RTP/RTCP, SRTP) and network configurations (DNS, DHCP)

Proficiency in troubleshooting Teams call quality issues, including log analysis

Familiarity with tools like Wireshark, Fiddler, and Teams monitoring/reporting tools

Experience using PowerShell to maintain Microsoft Teams

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work in shifts and adhere to Alstom policies and procedures

A proactive, team-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
