Job summary

NTT DATA in Kolkata seeks an experienced L3 Network Engineer to join the Network Operations and Engineering team and to design, implement, and maintain complex enterprise networks. The role emphasizes Cisco ACI, Versa SD-WAN, enterprise routing & switching, and high-availability, with emphasis on troubleshooting and security.

The ideal candidate will provide Level 3 support, mentor junior engineers, and participate in architecture reviews while ensuring standards compliance and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise networking.
• CCNP Enterprise preferred; CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 support for enterprise network infrastructure and critical incidents.
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex network issues.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring problems.
• Lead major incident resolution and problem management activities.

Job Title: Network Engineer L3 (ACI & SD-WAN Specialist)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 Network Engineer to join our Network Operations and Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Cisco ACI, Versa SD-WAN, enterprise Routing & Switching, and network troubleshooting. The role requires providing Level 3 support, designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining complex enterprise network infrastructures while ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations & Support

• Provide Level 3 support for enterprise network infrastructure and critical incidents.
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex network issues.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring problems.
• Lead major incident resolution and problem management activities.

Cisco ACI Administration

• Design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco ACI environments.
• Manage ACI Fabric, Tenant configurations, VRFs, Bridge Domains, EPGs, Contracts, and L3Outs.
• Perform firmware upgrades and maintenance activities within ACI environments.

Versa SD-WAN Management

• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Versa SD-WAN infrastructure.
• Manage Controllers, Director, Analytics, and Edge devices.
• Implement application‑aware routing, segmentation, and security policies.
• Support WAN optimization and network transformation initiatives.

Routing & Switching

• Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network technologies.
• Manage enterprise routing protocols including:
• BGP
• OSPF
• EIGRP
• IS-IS (preferred)
• Configure and support switching technologies:
• VLANs
• STP/RSTP/MST
• EtherChannel/LACP
• VPC
• HSRP/VRRP
• VXLAN (preferred)
• Perform network capacity planning and optimization.

Network Security & Compliance

• Work closely with security teams to implement network security controls.
• Support access control, segmentation, and secure network designs.
• Ensure adherence to organizational and industry standards.

Documentation & Collaboration

• Prepare and maintain network diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.
• Participate in architecture reviews and network design discussions.
• Mentor L1 and L2 engineers and provide technical guidance.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise networking.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise
• Cisco CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure (Preferred)
