We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a proven track record in both Software Service Model and Software Product Development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of project management methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a strong technical background in software development. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing and managing end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations.
Essential Functional Roles & Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
- Execute project plans, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
- Monitor and mitigate project risks, and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, understanding their requirements and expectations.
- Collaborate closely with clients to ensure alignment between project deliverables and business objectives.
- Provide regular project updates to clients and stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non‑technical team members to ensure a shared understanding of project goals and tasks.
- Resolve conflicts and challenges within the team, promoting a positive and productive work culture.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high‑quality software solutions.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimize project performance
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost‑effectiveness.
- Optimize resource allocation, balancing workloads and skill sets to maximize team efficiency.
Required Background & Skills
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in both Software Service Model and Software Product Development, with a minimum of 5 years in each domain.
- Demonstrated success in managing full project lifecycles from initiation to closure.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- In-depth knowledge of Java programming language and related technologies commonly used in Java‑based software development.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Leadership Abilities:
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross‑functional teams.
- Experience in mentoring and developing team members.
- Certifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Scrum Master or Agile certifications are a plus.
