Technical Project Manager: As a Project/ Product Manager to drive the success of our digital experiences and manage end-to-end digital initiatives. You will work collaboratively with multiple digital teams across user experience, development, testing, analytics and vendor partners. This is a highly visible role, working closely with other product managers, marketing, design and IT teams across the business.
Responsibilities
- Building a better and more consistent digital experience by owning, managing and continuously improving the UI components, code frameworks and digital standards.
- Understanding the product’s vision and scope as well as the business outcomes and customer problems we aim to achieve ensuring a customer‑centric approach and optimal quality of telus.com.
- Delivering on product management plans, defining user stories and milestones, prioritizing user stories, assessing risks and monitoring progress throughout the product lifecycle.
- Driving collaboration with cross‑functional team resources to deliver work in a lean way that builds trust, ownership and accountability.
- Proactively working with the team to identify risks, prioritize them and create plans to resolve in a timely manner.
- Developing an operational model including communication and adoption plan, feedback and incident management processes.
- Consistently monitoring adoption and reusability metrics for digital standards and components.
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as a key member of a web/digital team leading the complete product/web development lifecycle from planning through to execution.
- Ability to communicate the strategic vision for a long‑term product roadmap of large and complex products.
- Strong project and process management skills and the ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with agile and/or lean start‑up processes, minimum viable product or agile approach to web development.
- Knowledge of responsive, mobile‑first and web development processes.
- Excellent design sense and interpersonal skills, with the ability to openly contribute ideas within a highly collaborative and cross‑functional team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- An independent thinker and self‑starter, able to work effectively within a fast‑paced and changing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills to mitigate potential conflicts of interest that may occur between the different TELUS digital outcome teams, stakeholders and partners.
- Excellent strategic analysis and thinking, with the ability to interpret data and generate innovative and unconventional solutions.
- Accustomed to an extremely fast‑paced environment, requiring juggling of multiple deadlines.
