Job summary

Nemetschek Group seeks a Senior Technical Project Manager to own end-to-end delivery of complex software initiatives across multiple teams in Bengaluru. You will drive planning, scope, milestones, resources, dependencies, and release readiness from inception through production.

You will coordinate stakeholders, lead post-incident reviews, and apply AI-driven tooling to improve efficiency while ensuring quality, security, and regulatory compliance across platforms.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience overseeing software development lifecycles (design, implement, test, release, production support).
  • Proven ability to lead complex software projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on with AI-enabled productivity tools for planning, risk analysis, and reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science; PMP or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own project plans with scope, timelines, milestones, resources, dependencies, and success metrics.
  • Lead complex software initiatives from inception to production launch and outcome measurement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering leaders to align priorities and navigate constraints.
  • Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and drive timely resolution.
  • Communicate status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive release readiness across development, testing, deployment, observability, and rollback planning.
  • Coordinate incident management and post-incident reviews with blameless accountability.
  • Provide leadership and support to teams for delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation and knowledge artifacts.
  • Establish and track delivery and operational metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Leverage AI and automation to enhance planning, reporting, and productivity.

Job description

The Senior Technical Project Manager leads the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-team software initiatives across engineering, product, and business stakeholders, including multiple brands where applicable. This role combines deep technical expertise with advanced project and program management to drive initiatives from definition and planning through implementation, release, production readiness, and post-launch measurement.

The Senior TPM is accountable for delivery outcomes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards. They proactively manage risks and dependencies, facilitate technical and business trade-offs, coordinate resources, and maintain clear communication and accountability across teams. Additionally, the role supports operational excellence, including serving as an incident coordinator during production issues

  • Develop and execute project plans by defining scope, timelines, milestones, resource needs, dependencies, and success metrics.
  • Own complex software initiatives from inception through production launch, stabilization, and outcome measurement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering leaders to define objectives, align on priorities, and navigate technical constraints, architecture, quality, security, and delivery trade-offs.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, dependencies, and issues, and proactively drive resolution to ensure successful delivery.
  • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive release readiness across development, testing, deployment, observability, support, and rollback planning.
  • Facilitate incident management (including after-hours rotation) by coordinating response, communication, and resolution using tools such as PagerDuty.
  • Lead blameless post-incident reviews and ensure corrective and preventive actions are tracked to completion.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project teams to enable effective delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation and knowledge artifacts.
  • Establish and track delivery and operational metrics, identify systemic bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to enhance planning, reporting, risk identification, documentation, and team productivity.
Skills Required:
Technical:
  • Demonstrated hands-on software development experience, including programming, scripting, test automation, DevOps, systems engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Candidates must have personally participated in the software-development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, code review, CI/CD, release, and production support.
  • Demonstrated experience using generative AI, agentic AI, or AI-enabled productivity tools to improve personal and team efficiency. Examples may include requirements decomposition, risk analysis, workflow automation, data analysis, meeting synthesis, documentation, status reporting, or decision support.
  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated output critically and apply appropriate data-security, confidentiality, and responsible-use practices.
Familiarity with:

APIs, distributed systems, cloud platforms, and CI/CD.Production observability, reliability, and operational readiness.

Agile development and modern software-delivery practices.Jira, Confluence & GitHub.

PagerDuty or an equivalent incident-management platform.

AWS.

Non-Technical:

Proven experience with technical project management.

Excellent organizational, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications:

Average of 10+ years professional experience.

7+ years of leading complex software projects.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Project Management Certification (PMP for example).
