Job summary

GSPANN is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager with 12+ years of IT leadership to drive large-scale Java-based programs in the e-commerce domain. The role focuses on managing cross-functional teams, delivering cloud-native microservices, and ensuring quality in AWS-based environments.

The incumbent will oversee planning, delivery, risk management, and stakeholder communication across engineering, architecture, product, QA and DevOps, while championing best practices and process

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple technology programs from planning through delivery, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets and quality.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of Java-based microservices and cloud-native apps.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Product, QA, DevOps and Business teams.
• Provide technical oversight for Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka and AWS solutions.
• Manage dependencies, risks, issues and cross-team coordination.
• Define program roadmaps, milestones, delivery plans and success metrics.
• Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies across development teams.
• Partner with architects to drive scalable, available and secure solutions.
• Manage integrations and event-driven architectures using Kafka and microservices.
• Drive cloud adoption and optimization in AWS environments.
• Ensure engineering best practices, architecture standards, security and quality.
• Communicate status, risks, decisions to senior leadership.
• Seek opportunities for process improvements and automation for production releases.

Technical Program Manager Java, AWS & E-commerce

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager with 12+ years of experience in managing large-scale technology programs, preferably within the e-commerce domain. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in Java, Microservices, AWS, and Kafka, along with proven experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple technology programs from planning through delivery, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, and quality are met.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of Java-based microservices and cloud-native applications.
• Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Product, QA, DevOps, and Business teams to ensure successful program execution.
• Provide technical oversight for solutions built using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and AWS.
• Manage dependencies, risks, issues, and cross-team coordination across multiple projects.
• Define program roadmaps, milestones, delivery plans, and success metrics.
• Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure effective execution across development teams.
• Partner with architects and engineering leads to drive scalable, highly available, and secure solutions.
• Manage integrations and event-driven architectures using Kafka and microservices.
• Drive cloud adoption and optimization across AWS-based environments.
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, architecture standards, security, and quality processes.
• Communicate program status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency.Ensure successful production releases, post-production stabilization, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of overall IT experience, with significant experience in technical program/project management.
• Strong technical understanding of Java and Microservices architecture.
• Hands-on understanding of Spring Boot, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
• Mandatory experience working on large-scale e-commerce projects.
• Experience managing complex integrations, APIs, and enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, DevOps, and software engineering practices.
• Experience working with globally distributed and cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand complex technical architectures and translate business requirements into actionable delivery plans.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-volume e-commerce platforms, order management, payments, catalog, inventory, checkout, or fulfillment systems.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or other cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with observability, performance engineering, and application scalability.
• PMP, SAFe, Scrum Master, or other relevant program/project management certification is a plus.
