Job summary

ApplyMint in Chennai is seeking a Technical Operations Lead to own Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise IT operations. You will provide hands-on leadership, manage security, and drive reliable, scalable services across hybrid environments.

You will mentor teams, orchestrate incident response, implement automation with PowerShell and Graph API, and partner with stakeholders to deliver secure IT operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT Infrastructure / Cloud Operations experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft 365, Azure, and security capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and Enterprise IT Operations.
• Oversee Entra ID, AD, Hybrid Identity, and CA; apply Zero Trust principles.
• Administer Intune, Autopilot, device policies, and MDM/MAM.
• Manage Defender Suite, Purview, DLP, and information protection; respond to incidents.
• Support Azure infrastructure: VM, networking, storage, monitoring, access management.
• Provide incident ownership, service delivery, root cause analysis, and automation.
• Develop automation with PowerShell, Azure Automation, Graph API, Power Platform.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Lead to lead and manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and Enterprise IT Operations environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft technologies, cloud infrastructure, security, endpoint management, and operational excellence.

This role requires a balance of technical leadership, customer engagement, problem-solving, and team management capabilities to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Administration

• Manage and support Microsoft 365 services including:
• Exchange Online
• Microsoft Teams
• SharePoint Online
• OneDrive for Business
• Entra ID (Azure AD)

Identity & Access Management

• Manage Entra ID, Active Directory, Hybrid Identity, and Conditional Access.
• Implement and maintain Zero Trust security principles.
• Configure authentication, SSO, MFA, RBAC, and identity governance.

Endpoint Management

• Administer Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.
• Manage Windows Autopilot deployments.
• Configure device compliance, configuration profiles, application deployment, and MDM/MAM policies.
• Implement BitLocker, Defender policies, and endpoint security controls.

Security & Compliance

• Manage Microsoft Defender Suite and Security Center.
• Configure and monitor:
• Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Defender for Office 365
• Microsoft Purview
• DLP and Information Protection
• Security Baselines
• Respond to security incidents and operational escalations.

Azure Administration

• Support Azure infrastructure, governance, and security.
• Manage virtual machines, networking, storage, monitoring, and access management.
• Assist in cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

Operations Leadership

• Lead technical operations teams and provide technical guidance.
• Own incident management, service delivery, escalation handling, and root cause analysis.
• Drive operational improvements, automation initiatives, and service excellence.

Automation & Scripting

• Develop and maintain automation solutions using:
• PowerShell
• Azure Automation
• Microsoft Graph API
• Power Platform (preferred)
• Streamline administration and support processes through scripting.
