Overview

Technical Manager – Supplier Engineering

In a context of strong development, DEDIENNE AEROSPACE INDIA PVT LTD wishes to integrate a Technical Manager – Supplier Engineering who is a self-starter and passionate about engineering to deliver quality product offering for Aerospace Domain especially in Ground Support Equipment and Tools. Domain expertise required in Metallurgy, Advanced Manufacturing processes in Machining, Fabrication and Surface treatment is a must.

Driving the responsibility of Technical Manager Role, the candidate will be responsible for delivering results by collaborating within the cross-function team, overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes and providing technical support to our Supply Chain Partners in their manufacturing processes. The role requires a focus on improving process efficiency, ensuring product quality, and supporting production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in these areas and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

To do this, you will be required to:

Responsibilities
  • Study technical documents such as drawings, manuals, testing requirements, etc., and convey the specifications accurately to the supply chain partners.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Periodically visit supply chain partner units, study the technical compliance of the products manufactured; monitor and report progress on the manufacturing of products.
  • Provide technical support to production teams for troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of process changes, quality issues, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of tooling and fixtures.
  • Prepare and present reports on manufacturing performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Setup the BOM of new products in ERP.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and reduce cost of products.
  • Develop and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet or exceed specifications.
  • Lead continuous improvement with the supplier on recurring technical issues.
Profile

Experience: 5-8 years of experience and expertise in Metallurgy, Advanced Manufacturing processes in Machining, Fabrication and Surface treatment is a must.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree / Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgy / Aerospace is required.

Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, with hands-on experience, is highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset for this role.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools.
