Job summary

Godrej Living is seeking a senior facilities engineering leader to drive maintenance excellence across its properties. You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems while leading engineering teams and aligning operations with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires strong governance, hands-on troubleshooting, and the ability to design and execute preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / ITI / bachelor's degree in electrical / mechanical engineering or relevant technical discipline.
  • Relevant experience in property, facility, or technical assets maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop engineering and maintenance teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Manage engineering operations and support preparation of operating and capital budgets.
  • Oversee performance of all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in building systems and maintenance.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands‑on support for complex maintenance and engineering issues.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce asset‑specific maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with contractors, service partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Administer equipment and construction warranties, including defect liability management.
  • Maintain and manage as‑built drawings and technical documentation.
  • Lead emergency response efforts and address critical incidents and stakeholder concerns.
  • Implement inventory control systems and manage procurement of spares and consumables.
  • Develop technical specifications and support sourcing and administration of maintenance contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems and optimize performance.
  • Maintain engineering reports and share weekly, monthly, and periodic updates with stakeholders.
