Job summary

Merkle in Mumbai (DGS India) seeks a Lead Software Engineer (Automation) to drive automation initiatives within the Project Team. You will lead bot development, collaborate with process experts, and own end-to-end RPA lifecycle using UiPath, LangChain, and related tools.

The role requires hands-on experience in agentic automation, AI/LLM workflows, and strong leadership to manage a team. Prior Finance process exposure and Azure DevOps skills are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in technical/related field is required.
• 7-9 years related experience; computers background preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement gathering, analyze, develop, and test a bot with stakeholders.
• Design components for future state; get review and sign-off by Process expert.
• Automate business processes using selected tools per design.
• Perform Proof of Concepts for feasibility of automated solutions.
• Translate business and technical requirements into technical design.
• Identify gaps and conduct feasibility studies.
• Deliver within estimated timelines.
• Peer review code adhering to design standards.
• Support existing solutions from estimation to CR delivery.

ROLE PURPOSE

As part of the Project Team working on Automation, the candidate is required to work as Lead automation engineer and collaborate with process experts in identifying & implementing process improvement initiatives.

Must Have Skills:

• Should have hands-on experience building Agentic Automation solutions using UiPath and/or LangChain-based agent frameworks.


• Practical exposure on developing to deploying BOT independently.


• Candidate should know well, RE Framework, Document Understanding, AI Cente r, AI Agents and UIARD certification would be plus point.


• Orchestrator knowledge is required


• End to end lifecycle knowledge of RPA.


• Knowledge of building agents using copilot, uipath


• Knowledge of API


• Knowledge of Azure Devops


• Knowledge of Power Platforms by doing (PowerApps, Power automate, Dataverse, Copilot)


• Should have good understanding on SQL Database and queries.


• Should have worked in Finance related processes


• Must have managed team members directly

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
