Job summary

dentsu seeks a Lead Software Engineer (Automation) to drive automation initiatives and lead a project team in deploying end-to-end RPA solutions. You will collaborate with process experts and stakeholders to identify improvements and deliver bots with robust architecture.

The role requires hands-on RPA work, strong design skills, and the ability to mentor team members. Based in Mumbai, it offers a permanent, full-time opportunity within the Technology domain.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Robotic Process Automation tools using UI Path and Power Platform.
• End-to-end RPA lifecycle knowledge with Orchestrator and RE Framework.
• Experience building agentic automation using UiPath and LangChain-based frameworks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement gathering, analyze, develop, and test a bot with stakeholders.
• Design components for future state and obtain sign-off from Process expert.
• Automate business processes using chosen tools per design.
• Perform proof of concepts for feasibility of automation.
• Translate business requirements into technical design documents.
• Conduct feasibility studies and identify gaps in the solution.
• Analyze business requirements to define functional and non-functional specs.
• Deliver within estimated timelines and quality gates.
• Peer-review code and support existing solutions with CRs.

ROLE PROFILE

ROLE TITLE Lead Software Engineer (Automation) DATE 19/08/2026 ROLE FAMILY Technology DISCIPLINE Technology (Media, CXM)

ROLE PURPOSE

As part of the Project Team working on Automation, the candidate is required to work as Lead automation engineer and collaborate with process experts in identifying & implementing process improvement initiatives.

Must Have Skills

Must Have Skills: Should have hands‑on experience in Robotic Process Automation Tools using UI Path + Powerplatforms. Practical exposure on developing to deploying BOT independently. Candidate should know well, RE Framework, Document Understanding, AI Center, AI Agents and UIARD certification would be plus point. Orchestrator knowledge is required End to end lifecycle knowledge of RPA. Knowledge of building agents using copilot, uipath Knowledge of API Knowledge of Azure Devops Knowledge of Power Platforms by doing (PowerApps, Power automate, Dataverse, Copilot) Should have good understanding on SQL Database and queries. Should have worked in Finance related processes Must have managed team members directly Good To have Knowledge in finance processes Knowledge of python Knowledge of Jira Knowledge of VBA (Macros, some .NET experience) Must have hands‑on experience building Agentic Automation solutions using UiPath and/or LangChain‑based agent frameworks. Practical experience with Generative AI, including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agent orchestration. Strong understanding of prompt engineering and AI workflow design. UiPath Agentic Automation certification would be preferred.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Participate in requirement gathering, analyzing, developing, and testing a bot along with internal and external stakeholders.
• Design the components for future state, get it reviewed and signed off by Process expert.
• Automate business processes based on specified design using selected tools.
• Performing Proof of Concepts for feasibility analysis for the proposed automated solution.
• Ability to translate business requirements and technical requirements into technical design.
• Feasibility study and identifying the gaps.
• To analyze business requirements for developing functional and non-functional system requirements.
• Ability to deliver within estimated timelines.
• Participating in peer review process of codes adhering to design.
• Support existing solutions from estimating and delivering CR’s

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in technical/related field
• 7-9 years related experience in lieu of degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. (Preferably computers background)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
