Job summary

Crpl Infra in Kolkata seeks a hands-on technology leader to run the entire IT function from the head office, supervising IT Network, Hardware & Access, and the in-house tool ecosystem.

The role centers on delivering a company-wide system migration by 31 March 2027, with testing at two sites first and clear ownership for every tool to enable smooth handovers.

Qualifications

• Must lead IT function and migrate processes onto a system by 31 March 2027.
• Experience building Logistics/Warehouse tools.
• Ability to manage multi-site go-lives and vendor relationships.
• Strong change discipline and release management.

Responsibilities

• Keep things safe: No software update goes live without owner approval, documented, and undo plan. Only Tech Lead pushes updates live.
• Finish the big project: Migrate all processes onto the system by March, testing in steps at two sites first.
• Keep tools working: Fix any tool within 4 working hours and document cause; inform CEO about cyber attacks the same day.
• Dont depend on one person: each tool has an owner, backup, and written notes for handover.
• Protect data: secure logins, regular backups, approvals before system changes.
• Manage money and people: set IT budget, handle vendors, decide build or buy, coach the team.

What we are looking for:

A hands-on technology leader who can run the whole IT function and every in-house tool, and get every company process onto a system by 31 March 2027, mostly on Crystals own tools.

Where the person sits:

• Reports directly to the CEO, at head office in Kolkata.
• Leads an IT Network / Hardware & Access Manager (who runs IT Central Support) and fewer than four product engineers.
• Has a functional dotted line to Site IT Support at every site.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Keep things safe: No software update goes live unless the owner approves it, its documented, and theres a way to undo it. Only the Tech Lead pushes updates live.
• Finish the big project: Get all processes onto the system by March, testing in small steps at two of our sites first.
• Keep tools working: If a tool goes down, fix it within 4 working hours and write down why it broke. Inform the CEO the same day about any cyber attack.
• Dont depend on one person: every tool has an owner, a backup person, and clear written notes, so anyone can take over.
• Protect data: secure logins, regular backup checks, and approvals before any system change.
• Manage money and people: set the IT budget, handle vendors, decide whether to build or buy, and coach the team.

Ideal profile: Has built Logistics/Warehouse tools, led developers and run IT operations, built in-house tools, knows release and change discipline, handles multi-site go-lives, and has reported to a CEO or MD.
