Job summary

Embitel Technologies is seeking a Python Test Automation specialist for CARIAD India in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The role focuses on automotive software testing using Python, Robot Framework, and HIL/SIL tools, with emphasis on CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks and Autosar standards.

Strong automation and collaboration across teams are essential. You will work within a VW Group subsidiary network, contributing to platform software and middleware components, while leveraging SAFe practices and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Strong Automotive SW testing experience from APSICE SWE5/SWE6.
• Experience with HIL and SIL based testing environments (CANoe/CAPEL based tools).
• Strong Python scripting and Robot framework experience.
• Strong knowledge of Automotive networks CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
• Proven verification and simulation tools experience; Autosar compliance knowledge.
• Experience with GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, CodeBeamer.
• Familiar with SAFe or similar frameworks; good system testing skills.
• Working knowledge of Linux/UNIX/QNX and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to automotive software test automation efforts for PPE/vehicle platforms.
• Set up and run HIL/SIL test environments and validate CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts and robot framework tests.
• Collaborate on verification, simulation, and Autosar compliance activities.
• Utilize version control and CI/CD tools to streamline testing pipelines.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies and cross-team integration.
• Communicate effectively and work autonomously in a fast-paced team.

Job Description

• Strong Automotive SW testing experience from the APSICE level of SWE5 and SWE6.
• Have experience in using HIL and SIL based testing environment (CANoe /CAPEL based tools etc.)
• Strong working experience in Python Scripting and Robot framework.
• Strong working experience on Automotive networks such as CAN, LIN and Ethernet
• Proven experience & Deep understanding on the verification and Simulation tools and Environments.
• Experience in Autosar compliance standard.
• Experience with tools such as, GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins,CodeBeamer etc.
• Working knowledge on SAFe or similar frameworks.
• Good knowledge of full System Testing.
• Shall have a good understanding of Linux / UNIX / QNX
• Exposure to CI / CD framework.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, proactive and self-driven.
• ISTQB or any other automotive related certification is desirable.
