Job summary

Embitel Technologies in Bengaluru (Whitefield, Bangalore) seeks a Python Test Automation engineer with 4–9 years of automotive software testing experience to join the Platform & Energy group under CARIAD India.

You will work with HIL/SIL environments, Python scripting, Robot framework, and AUTOSAR standards, collaborating across teams in a fast-paced setup with CI/CD, GitHub, and Jenkins.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive SW testing experience at SWE5/SWE6 level.
• Experience with HIL and SIL testing environments (CANoe/CAPEL).
• Proficient in Python scripting and Robot framework.
• Hands-on with automotive networks CAN, LIN and Ethernet.
• Solid knowledge of verification and simulation tools and environments.
• Experience with AUTOSAR standards and product integration.
• Familiar with version control and CI/CD tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, CodeBeamer).
• Awareness of SAFe or similar frameworks; strong system testing ability.
• Linux/UNIX/QNX proficiency; exposure to CI/CD workflows.
• ISTQB or automotive certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute automotive SW test strategies for APSICE SWE levels.
• Operate HIL/SIL test setups using CANoe/CAPEL based tools.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts and Robot framework tests.
• Validate AUTOSAR compliant components and interfaces.
• Collaborate with developers across CI/CD pipelines and test environments.
• Contribute to test documentation and traceability artifacts.
• Participate in cross-functional teams following SAFe or equivalent methods.
• Assist in defect isolation, reproducibility, and root-cause analysis.
• Provide feedback to improve testing processes and tooling.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

• Strong Automotive SW testing experience from the APSICE level of SWE5 and SWE6.
• Have experience in using HIL and SIL based testing environment (CANoe /CAPEL based tools etc.)
• Strong working experience in Python Scripting and Robot framework.
• Strong working experience on Automotive networks such as CAN, LIN and Ethernet
• Proven experience & Deep understanding on the verification and Simulation tools and Environments.
• Experience in Autosar compliance standard.
• Experience with tools such as, GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins,CodeBeamer etc.
• Working knowledge on SAFe or similar frameworks.
• Good knowledge of full System Testing.
• Shall have a good understanding of Linux / UNIX / QNX
• Exposure to CI / CD framework.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, proactive and self-driven.
• ISTQB or any other automotive related certification is desirable.
