Job summary

ZF India Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore/Hyderabad, India, seeks a Technical Lead for IMDS Product Compliance to steer cross-functional IMDS data and regulatory activities. You will coordinate with suppliers and customers, analyze BOMs, and drive IMDS data accuracy across the business.

The role requires automotive IMDS expertise, PLM tool proficiency, and strong English communication to support global projects and ensure compliance with GADSL, ELV, REACH, RoHS and PFAS regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master’s degree with 6–10 years IMDS experience in automotive.
• Excellent knowledge of IMDS and PLM tools.
• Ability to read product drawings and handle queries.
• Knowledge of metals, plastics, electronics, textiles.
• Understanding of GADSL, ELV, REACH, RoHS & PFAS regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
• Very good English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate IMDS data cross-divisionally with suppliers and customers.
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers about IMDS.
• Analyze BOM and create IMDS for customer requests.
• Maintain IMDS, CAMDS and Maxi databases and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

• Technical lead and coordination of IMDS data and topics cross- divisionally, cross- functionally and in relation with suppliers and Customers ( Global) Support and active cooperation in SAP projects related to IMDS / Substances data Coordination of all IMDS relevant topics of Business Unit.
• Coordination with customers and suppliers about IMDS Assistance with checks and releases of material data sheets.
• Analysis of BOM and creation of IMDS for customer requests (IMDS) Performing substance analysis relevant to various regulations.
• System maintenance of the databases IMDS, CAMDS and Maxi Cooperation in topics of legal requirements and environmental protection in the context of the product development process and change management.

Qualifications

• Your profile as IMDS Product Compliance Bachelor/master’s degree with Min. 6-10 years of professional experience in IMDS responsibility and from Automotive background.
• Very good knowledge of the systems IMDS, PLM tools.
• Able to read product technical drawing & product related queries.
• Knowledge on Metals, Plastics, Electronics and Textiles etc.
• Good understanding of GADSL substance list, ELV, REACH, RoHS & PFAS regulations Good knowledge MS Office and SAP.
• Very good English Language skills( verbal and written).
