Growth For Impact is seeking a senior full-stack engineer in Bengaluru to design and build scalable backend services, REST APIs in Node.js, and fast React dashboards. You will leverage MongoDB, Redis, and relational databases, operating on AWS with a focus on performance and cost.

You will lead design discussions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and data teams to deliver reliable data products at scale.

Competenze

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with full-stack exposure.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and system design.
• Experience with React and front-end tooling for responsive, SEO-friendly UIs.
• MongoDB schema design, indexing and aggregation.

ROLE

• Gather requirements with stakeholders and turn them into documented, scalable, fault‑tolerant and highly available designs.
• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and REST APIs in Node.js using a microservices approach that handle millions of requests reliably.
• Build fast, responsive, SEO‑friendly front‑end applications and dashboards in React.
• Use Redis for caching, rate limiting, queues and other performance‑critical patterns.
• Architect, deploy and monitor services on AWS with a focus on performance, availability and cost.
• Tune performance across the stack, including query optimisation, indexing, caching, concurrency, load handling and deployment strategy.
• Break complex features into atomic tasks with detailed designs and effort estimates.
• Own multiple services maintained by the team, from design through release and production support.
• Lead design discussions, review code and mentor engineers to raise the bar across the team.
• Work closely with product and data teams to ship reliable data products.

REQUIREMENTS

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with significant full‑stack exposure.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and system design.
• Strong experience with React, modern front‑end tooling, state management, and responsive, SEO‑optimised front ends.
• Solid experience with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing and the aggregation framework.
• Solid experience with at least one relational database such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Practical experience with Redis.
• Proven track record of building big‑data applications that handle millions of API calls and large datasets, and debugging them under real production load.
• Experience driving the full SDLC in an agile team, covering requirements, design, development, unit testing and CI/CD automation.
• User‑first mindset and commitment to engineering, security and design best practices.
• Python programming experience.
• Ability to work independently, break down ambiguous problems and drive them to production with little supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership: guided a team or pod, set technical standards and helped engineers grow.
