Job summary

Job description

What will you do?

• Manage a team of Engineering Directors & Engineering Managers (hiring, coaching, motivating).
• Manage the budget for multiple development teams, aligning this budget with strategic business objectives.
• Build a cost‑efficient, effective engineering organization by analyzing engineering processes, detecting operational gaps, and implementing improvements.
• Support multiple PODs in delivering high‑quality software in one or more adjacent product areas.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Product and Customer Operations to ensure the successful delivery of software products.
• Report on the status of organizational metrics.

• Strong people‑leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of managers and engineers.
• At least 2 years of experience in managerial positions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non‑technical partners across multiple departments.
• Proven business insight, critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities to set strategic direction.
• Ability to analyze, define and track key metrics, and to act upon these metrics by implementing organizational and operational changes.
• Strong technical background in software engineering with at least 8 years of experience in the software product development industry.
• Experience bringing innovative, industry‑leading, category‑defining tech products to market.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle management processes.
• Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, with a track record of driving processes to deliver quality outcomes.
• Good presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
• Experience working with executive‑level internal and external clients/partners as a company representative.
• Experience with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, APIs and databases.
• Experience in Java, TypeScript, Node, React, NestJS and Python.
• Experience developing software in a regulated environment (plus).
• Experience working in the clinical informatics, health‑care and life sciences domain (plus).
