Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for building an effective engineering organization.
• Accountable for defining well‑balanced PODs in line with business strategy.
• Responsible for the delivery of high‑quality software of multiple teams in one or more adjacent product areas.
• Be deeply involved in the full development lifecycle: design, code, test, deploy.

What Will You Do?

• Manage a team of Engineering Directors & Engineering Managers (hiring, coaching, motivating).
• Managing the budget for multiple development teams, aligning this budget with strategic business objectives.
• Build a cost‑efficient, effective engineering organization, by analyzing engineering processes, detecting operational gaps, implementing improvements.
• Support multiple PODs in delivering high‑quality software in one or more adjacent product areas.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Product and Customer Operations to ensure the successful delivery of software products.
• Report on status of organizational metrics.

What Do You Bring to the Table?

• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of managers and engineers.
• At least 6 years of experience in managerial positions.
• The ability to clearly communicate and collaborate well with both technical and non‑technical partners across multiple departments.
• Combining profound business insights, critical thinking and problem solving skills to set strategic direction.
• The ability to analyze, define and track key metrics, the ability to act upon these metrics and implement organizational and operational changes.
• A strong technical background in software engineering, with at least 8 years of experience in the software product development industry.
• Experience bringing innovative, industry‑leading, category‑defining tech products to market.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle management processes.
• Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, a track record of actively driving processes to deliver quality outcomes.
• Good presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
• Experience working with executive level internal and external clients/partners, acting as a representative of the company.
• Experience with Cloud technologies, Microservices architecture, Application Programming Interfaces (API) and databases.
• Experience in Java, TypeScript, Node, React, and Python.
• Experience in developing software in a regulated environment is a plus.
• Experience working in the clinical informatics, health care and life sciences domain is a plus.
