Job summary

PierianDx India Private Limited is hiring a Software Engineer to design and develop Web Applications and Services using Node.js and NoSQL. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the MERN or MEAN stack and a solid understanding of RESTful API design.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and security protocols while engaging with product managers for requirement definition.

What will you do?

• As a Software Engineer, design and develop Web Applications and Services using Node.js and NoSQL with a focus on high availability, low latency and scalability.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration between front‑end and back‑end systems.
• Ensure optimal performance, scalability and responsiveness to front‑end requests.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers on integration of elements.
• Implement data storage solutions using MongoDB and other relevant technologies.
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimize code.
• Make code resilient and capable of providing excellent performance to the end‑user.
• Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures and storage solutions.
• Keep informed of advancements in Node.js and software development.
• Work as part of a cross‑functional scrum team (“POD”) developing applications and services using agile methodologies.
• Consult with Product Managers and Tech Leads for requirement definition concerning development.

Competencies

• At least 3 years of professional experience on MERN or MEAN stack.
• Hands‑on development and proficiency in Node.js building REST‑based microservices.
• In‑depth knowledge of Node.js frameworks such as Express.js and Nest.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
• Excellent application development background and understanding of Web Application technologies.
• Knowledge of database design and management, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
• TypeScript experience is desired.
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented design principles and best practices.
• Experience developing large‑scale consumer‑facing micro‑service solutions is highly recommended.
• Experience communicating and coordinating with distributed teams across the world.

• Strong understanding of AWS DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, CI/CD processes.
• Experience in Software Life Cycles for Medical Device Development (ISO 13485:2016).
• Understanding of data security concepts.
• Knowledge of React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with SaaS products and large customer bases.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries and frameworks.
