Job summary

Shoppers Stop is seeking a Sr. Manager – IT (Technical Lead – Retail Systems) to own end-to-end retail IT systems, including POS, CRM, P2P, Loyalty, and MDM.

You will manage integrations, lead new developments, and serve as the single point of contact for technical initiatives with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has 6–10 years of hands-on IT experience, strong .NET/SQL expertise, and a proven ability to architect solutions and document integrations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in WinForms/ASP.NET/Core.
• Advanced SQL queries, stored procedures (SQL Server + MySQL).
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and file-based integrations.
• Ability to trace bugs across POS, integrations, and databases.
• Strong communication with functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end IT systems for retail, acting as single point of contact.
• Own POS, CRM, P2P, Loyalty, MDM and integrations.
• Manage integrations: monitor, debug, document, and improve.
• Design solutions with .NET/SQL and frontend tech.

Position Title: Sr. Manager – IT (Technical Lead – Retail Systems)

Experience Required: 6–10 years

Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on technical IT generalist to handle end-to-end ownership of our retail IT systems. You will be the single point of contact for all technical initiatives, support, integrations, and new developments. You need to own systems like POS, CRM, P2P, Loyalty, MDM, and various integrations. You will work directly with functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Ownership

• P2P (Procure to Pay) – Finance-critical processes.
• Digital Invoice, NPS, Loyalty Systems.

2. Integration Management

• Monitor, debug, and fix broken integrations (POS ERP, CRM Loyalty, etc.)
• Document all integrations.
• Proactively identify brittle integrations.

3. New Developments

• Take requirements from functional team.
• Architect solutions.
• Build internal tools using .NET, SQL Server, MySQL, and frontend (HTML/CSS/JS).

4. Team SPOC for Technical Initiatives

• Work directly with Functional team.

5. Support & Triage

• Bugs come directly to you from functional team.
• You fix or get it fixed with supoodelegate
• You communicate timelines and root causes back to business

Must-Have Skills (Non-negotiable)

Area Requirement .

NET Can read, modify, and write small-to-medium apps (WinForms/ASP.NET/Core)

SQLAdvanced queries, stored procedures (SQL Server + MySQL)

Integrations Has worked with REST APIs, JSON, XML, file-based (SFTP, CSV) integrations

System Thinking Can look at a bug in POS and trace it to an integration or database issue

Communication Can talk to functional people without getting frustrated

Good-to-Have

• Helpdesk or ticketing system exposure
• Loyalty system or retail domain experience
• Experience working in a small team without dedicated architects

You will focus 100% on applications, databases, and integrations.

• Self-sufficient – You will not get daily handholding. You will explore logs, read code, ask functional team, and figure it out.
• Calm under pressure – POS down on Saturday evening? You own it.
• Documenter – You will document what you fix.
