Job summary

Genzeon Global seeks a Senior Technical Project Manager who will drive delivery of complex, technology-heavy projects for a retail-focused client portfolio. The role emphasizes technical ownership and hands-on execution, including code, architecture, and infrastructure decisions.

You will review architecture and code, troubleshoot blockers, validate deployment pipelines, and ensure technically sound solutions. Deep cloud, CI/CD, and retail domain experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT/engineering experience with hands-on Python and/or .NET
• Strong working knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP including compute, storage, networking
• Hands-on experience designing/troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
• Retail domain experience in e-commerce, POS, order management, or supply chain is preferred
• Familiarity with security/compliance in retail (PCI-DSS) and SDLC tooling

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery of end-to-end projects for retail client engagements with hands-on involvement in architecture and code decisions
• Review code quality and debugging in Python/.NET as needed, ensuring engineering best practices
• Evaluate cloud architecture across AWS/Azure/GCP and advise on compute, storage, and networking choices
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot deployment pipelines and strategies (CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, blue-green/canary, IaC)
• Perform technical risk assessments and gap analyses on architecture, integrations, and non-functional requirements
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs and specifications
• Set up and maintain project-level technical tracking (sprint backlogs) with focus on technical accuracy
• Serve as the technical point of contact for client engineering teams and unblock implementation issues
• Evaluate cloud service offerings (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) for fit, scalability, and cost, including PoC
• Embed DevSecOps practices into SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
• Apply retail domain knowledge to solution design for e-commerce, POS, inventory, and supply chain
• Contribute technical estimates, architecture diagrams, and solution approaches for proposals
• Pilot AI/automation tooling to improve engineering efficiency and delivery quality

This role is weighted toward technicalownership and hands-on execution — the ideal candidate is someone who can diginto code, architecture, and infrastructure decisions directly, not just trackstatus. Deep working knowledge of Python, .NET, and cloud platforms(AWS/Azure/GCP) is essential, along with practical experience implementing moderndeployment strategies (CI/CD, blue-green, canary releases) and a solidunderstanding of retail industry systems such as omnichannel commerce, POS,supply chain, and customer engagement platforms.

The Senior Technical Project Manager will be hands-on inreviewing architecture and code-level decisions, troubleshooting technicalblockers, validating deployment pipelines, and ensuring solutions aretechnically sound — using project management skills as a means to keeptechnical delivery on track, rather than as the core focus of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownthe technical delivery of projects end-to-end — from solution designreview through deployment — for retail client engagements.
• Gethands-on with Python and .NET codebases where needed: reviewing codequality, debugging issues, validating designs, and ensuring adherence toengineering best practices.
• Evaluateand make recommendations on cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and/orGCP — compute, storage, networking, managed services, and costoptimization.
• Design,implement, and troubleshoot deployment strategies and pipelines — CI/CD(Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), containerization(Docker/Kubernetes), blue-green/canary releases, andinfrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM).
• Performtechnical risk assessments and gap analyses on architecture, integrations,and non-functional requirements (scalability, performance, security).
• Translatebusiness and functional requirements into detailed technicalspecifications and solution designs.
• Set upand maintain project-level technical tracking (sprint boards, technicalbacklogs) using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools, with a focus ontechnical accuracy over administrative reporting.
• Serveas the technical point of contact for client engineering counterparts,resolving technical queries and unblocking implementation issues directly.
• Evaluateand recommend appropriate cloud service offerings (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) basedon technical fit, scalability, and cost — including proof-of-concept workwhere needed.
• EmbedDevSecOps practices into the SDLC — security scanning, compliance checks,and governance gates within CI/CD pipelines.
• Applyretail domain knowledge to solution design for e-commerce platforms, POSintegration, inventory/order management, supply chain systems, andcustomer data platforms.
• Contributetechnical estimations, architecture diagrams, and solution approaches forproposals and pre-sales efforts.
• Evaluateand pilot AI/automation tooling (agentic coding tools, LLM Ops, AIguardrails) to improve engineering efficiency and delivery quality.
• Produceand maintain technical documentation — architecture diagrams, deploymentof runbooks, integration specs, and technical decision logs.
• Coordinatelightweight project logistics (timelines, dependencies, status updates)only to the extent needed to keep technical delivery unblocked — this isnot a resourcing/staff-management role.

Experience

• 12+years of overall IT/engineering experience, with substantial hands-on timewriting, reviewing, or architecting Python and/or .NET applications.
• Strong,current working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) — includingcompute (EC2/App Services/Compute Engine), storage, networking, serverless(Lambda/Azure Functions), and managed database services — gained throughdirect implementation, not just oversight.
• Hands-onexperience designing and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines and deploymentstrategies: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI;containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); blue-green /canaryreleases; infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARMtemplates).
• Priortechnical delivery experience within the retail domain — e-commerce, POS,order management, supply chain, merchandising, or customer loyaltyplatforms strongly preferred.
• Experienceintegrating and evaluating different cloud service offerings(IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) for fit, scalability, and cost.
• Workingknowledge of monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, New Relic,CloudWatch, Grafana) and hands-on incident/troubleshooting experience.
• Practicalexposure to AI/ML-driven tooling or automation frameworks in SDLCprocesses (e.g., agentic coding tools, LLM Ops, AI guardrails) is a strongplus.
