Responsibilities include deploying and configuring Dell backup solutions, monitoring backups, ensuring data integrity, and enforcing disaster recovery procedures while collaborating with IT and business teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Storage or Backup Administrator.
• Relevant certifications preferred (Dell EMC, Veritas, or equivalent).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with IT teams.

Job Description

Storage Administrator - Dell Backup Technologies

We are seeking an experienced Storage Administrator with expertise in Dell backup technologies to join our infrastructure team. The successful candidate will manage and maintain our storage systems, backup solutions, and data protection infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Dell backup and recovery solutions
• Monitor backup operations and ensure data integrity and recovery capabilities
• Manage storage systems and optimize performance
• Implement and enforce backup policies and disaster recovery procedures
• Troubleshoot backup failures and resolve storage-related issues
• Perform regular backup testing and recovery validations
• Maintain documentation of storage infrastructure and backup configurations
• Provide technical support to IT and business teams regarding backup operations

Required Skills - Primary

• Advanced proficiency with Dell backup technologies (Dell EMC NetWorker, Dell EMC Avamar, or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with Dell storage systems
• Strong understanding of backup architecture and best practices
• Experience with full, incremental, and differential backup strategies
• Should be proficient in running standard maintenance tasks

Required Skills - Secondary

• SQL Server backup and recovery knowledge
• Experience with additional backup platforms (Veeam, CommVault, Acronis, or similar)
• Storage area network (SAN & NAS) administration
• Scripting and automation capabilities
